Learn More About How to Become a Member

Attend a Meeting  Since success in BNI is build upon relationship and trust, you must first visit a chapter and meet the members.

Submit Your Application and Payment  A chapter will provide you with an application to complete, or you may click here to download a fillable PDF, complete and print it. It will include information about your professional specialty, your experience and credentials, our standards and expectations and business references to call. You can pay by check, credit card or PayPal Credit (if you qualify).

Interviews and One-to-Ones  The chapter may interview you further and/or ask you to meet with other chapter members to gain feedback about your application.

New Member Induction  Once your application is approved, you will be recognized during the chapter meeting as a new member.

What You Should Know

  • Professional Specialty  Only one person from each professional specialty is accepted as a member in each BNI chapter. All participants should represent their primary occupation, not a part-time business.
  • Attendance  Attendance is critical to building trust and relationships. If you cannot attend a meeting, you may send a substitute to represent you. This will not count as an absence.
  • Referrals and Visitors  Participation by members is the key to the chapter's success. Members can participate by bringing bona-fide referrals and/or visitors to their BNI chapter.
  • Participation Fees  There are one-year and two-year participation options. In addition, each chapter may collect a chapter facility fee to cover the cost of room rental and other chapter incidental expenses.
